Salvation Micro-Macrame Necklace and Bracelet

Written By: admin - Oct• 01•10

My favorite color combination so far. I decided to make a micro-macrame necklace and I wanted to try to make the bezel for the cabochon using micro-macrame cavandoli knotting. This is my first foray into micro-macrame bezels and free form style knotting.  A small challenge as the cabochon was an irregular shape. I then decided to embellish a small metal “Jesus” piece I rescued from a double wide salvage. No joke, I found Jesus in a double wide trailer out in the desert. One of the arms on the piece was a wee bit messed up, so I craftily hide the imperfection under the bead fringe. An asymmetrical necklace cord utilizing various knots and beads completes the piece. Finally, I made a micro-macrame bracelet using the same color combination to match the necklace. Looks great paired with simple turquoise earrings.

Lovely work and great site. Is there anywhere I can get instructions/tutorial on how to micro macrame around a cabochon. Have looked all over and am having no luck. Thanks a lot.
