Of course who could resist adding an image of a bee. The design process for this was lots of fun. I’ve included a bee image and focal bead created from one of Catherine Moore’s Character Constructions rubber stamps. The focal bead is made out of FIXIT Clay and patina was applied using Tim Holtz Adirondack alcohol inks. Add in a few of my orphan lampwork glass beads and this piece oozes of honey. All the while I was listening to Honey Songs by Jim Lauderdale and the Dream Players, with a bit of Led Zepplin for good measure. Absolute pleasure when I can use many jewelry making techniques in a single piece. Enjoy the sweetness.

I just had to come here after seeing this piece on flickr. The piece is even more interesting after reading how the components were made. I’ve never even heard of fixit clay. What a wonderful piece!

  2. Another beautiful piece! I love the golden amber hues of your focal beads.
