Nearing a close on the Inspired By Nature Challenge Series hosted by Heather Powers. This is week number eleven and I have a starfish inspired necklace to show off today. It’s a very light piece and I used Apoxie clay, recycled fabric, thread and needle, cords, beads and some cold connections to pull this one together for a very soft effect. Next week will be the final week of the IBN Challenges and also the start of the big reveal for the Bead Soup Blog Party. Should be a very fun week. And, if you are in need of another challenge, check out Lorelei and Shannon’s Blogs. Working in conjunction with Lima Beads, these two came up with a great selection of beads and findings to inspire your creative muse. I’ve never participated in a challenge where all the designers have the same materials, so this one should be fun and gotta say I’m a purple fan too.
This is totally gorgeous, i have admired all of your pieces for this challenge
Thank you. It’s been loads of fun participating in the challenges.
Great necklace. I am not good at making these multistrand necklaces. Any tips?

Thank you Pepita. Perhaps look at how the necklaces that you do like are constructed and use a similar design to start. When you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to experiment and incorporate your own spin on it.
Wonderful and the use of fabric makes it so shabby-romantic 🙂 (did not know really what to call it but it is gorgeous)
Thank you. I’m really getting into exploring fabric in my designs lately. So love the texture and color options.
