2nd Annual Challenge of Travel

Here we are for the 2nd Annual Challenge of Travel. This challenge is all about the “Staycation” . In reality, the “staycation” concept actually motivated us to take a real vacation this summer in order to escape the never ending heat at home. Haven’t been able to take a real vacation in like 10 years. […]

To The Point

Recently ordered some Linhas Setta cord from Knotmore.com and tried it out on a quartz point. This cord is great for working with stones. It is waxed, so it’s a little thicker and more substantial than C-Lon cord. That wax gives it some gripping power. I’m liking it very much.

Kalmbach Bead Soup Party

It’s always fun to participate in the Bead Soup Party Blog Hops hosted by Lori Anderson and I decided that it would be fun to participate in the Kalmbach Bead Soup Party as well. This party is timed to coincide with the release of Lori’s Bead Soup Book. I’m pretty excited about this because it […]

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 – BTW

Yet again, messing about with hemp cord, stones, rocks, charms and beads while enjoying the view from my work area. I really like the feel and texture of these necklaces. They are very “grounding”. Off to search for some more rocks. Enjoy your day. Dive In… Enjoy The View… Black Heart…

Here’s what’s on my table this Wednesday…my spin on melting some borosilicate glass. I’m using Momka boro shorts rods and have no idea what colors these are because they aren’t labeled. I’m finding it difficult to make a decent boro bead shape, but liking the results of the disc beads and pendants. See what others […]

Macrame Bezel Polymer Clay Pendant

I made this polymer clay pendant two years ago. It finally found a home in this micro macrame bezel pendant. Again, this macrame pendant is double sided with a few coiled wire accents. Happy knotting.

Macrame Bezel Dragonfly Necklace

As promised, a photo of the micro macrame bezel that I have been working on for some time. I finally figured out how to get it to work and look smooth. The fun part of this technique is working on tying in all the loose cords. The stone, (some type of dyed bone or coral […]

Micro Macrame Knot Yo Mama’s Way

This isn’t yo mama’s macrame from the 70’s. The updated version consists of using very fine cord for micro macrame knotting. This bracelet features a bright and delicate specialty button for the center piece, with neutral tan cord for the base. I love making these micro macrame bracelets because there are so many options for […]
