Metal Prong Challenge

The Metal Team over at Artisan Whimsy is hosting this challenge and there is a great, free “how to” tutorial in the event that you have never tried the metal prong technique. The tutorial was put together by Staci Louise Smith. (Thanks Staci.) I haven’t done any metal prong work in quite some time, so […]

UK Inspiration Challenge

The UK Group over at Artisan Whimsy decided to throw out a UK Inspiration Challenge. Sounded like a bit of fun, so here I am linked up to another design challenge. I decided to go with Dorset as I was attracted to that because of it’s button making history. I am paying homage to all the button making, […]

Celebrating Mother Earth Challenge

When I saw Birgitta Lejonklou (Create With Spirit) was having a blog hop, I knew that I must participate. Thanks B!  She creates the best ceramic pendants! Thanks to Erin Prais-Hintz for hosting this Challenge of Travel Blog Hop First off, I must admit that I wasn’t really sure where Oceania was located. But I liked the sound of it because it contained the word “ocean” in it, so I figured that I probably could not go wrong with a little arm-chair […]

The Button Swap 2012

Never one to just sit idle, even when I’m really busy, I can’t not fuss with some project. The buttons for this challenge were no exception. I had to pull out the drill and add a few more holes for the earrings and then I decided to alter the large royal blue button. I […]

January 2012 Art Bead Scene Challenge

The inspiration for the January Art Bead Scene Challenge is “Trellis by William Morris, 1862”   You can read more biographical information about the artist and this design at ART BEAD SCENE. I love the color palette, especially the coral, rust and gold hues. Even though I think my final design is very simple, I […]
