Welcome to the 2nd Annual Bead Hoarders Blog Hop hosted by Lori Anderson.

I had great intentions for putting together lots of jewelry designs using my hoarded stash, but ran into an energy crisis.

So, I had this load of beads that i wanted to manipulate into something swell, yet they remain piled on my work desk.

bead hoarder 2014I did manage to make two simple designs and I really like how they turned out. Sweet and simple.

Turtle Hand macrame necklace by The Beading YoginiThis one is a belated birthday gift for someone special. It features an awesome focal by Birgitta Lejonklou

(Angel Whisperer at Etsy).

hammererd citrine necklace by The Beading YoginiAnd this necklace, a simple hammered silver hoop with a citrine gemstone focal bead and dangle.

I also had a rather large pile of beads and plans to really make a dent in my stash for this but ran out of steam/time. Both of your pieces are wonderful. The simplicity of the designs makes them very wearable but still makes a statement.

What a great stassh of beads! So sorry you are feeling bad. Netflix does have soothing vibes, LOL. When my back is bad, I flop in a chair, get out some beads and pick a series to watch. Love your simple designs. I am a great believer in “less is more”. Simple designs are so classy. Nice work.

  3. What amazing uses of your treasures !

    Beautiful designs.
I love the focal on the first necklace – is that a little golden turtle in the palm? Your design really picked out the colours perfectly.

  6. I almost didn’t make it to the blog hop either. I got wrapped up in the pre-Christmas clean up and decorating binge. I’m glad you felt well enough to post these pieces, they’re beautiful!

  7. I like to think that quality still trumps quantity, CeCe. You have the knack of making a simple and elegant design really sing, which many of us fear to attempt 🙂

I hope you are able to use your low-energy days to continue to nurture yourself. Health is that gift we all take for granted until it is threatened. Be well 🙂

  8. OMG, Gastritis hurts like hell. I’m so sorry! And so honored that your tried it out! I hope it gave you a little pain relief. Message me if you need to vent!

I do hope you get to feeling better, though I know that when it’s chronic. . .well I hope you have more good days than bad ones! As for what you created, they are both so divine. I adore the simplicity of them. It does make it its own statement that way. Wonderfully done!

  11. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your work with us. I’m sad to hear you’re feeling bad. But that first piece, with the hand? LOVE IT.

  12. Sometimes less is more. I really love both of these pieces. I hope the bit of creativity you were able to squeeze out was renewing. I really love the hand necklace. Take care!!!

I have been admiring your work and your blog for quite a while now, and this post brings home why: your designs, your aesthetic, your calm and peaceful words, your outlook. Both pieces are lovely and have a nice flow to them. The second one has a rather soothing aspect to it. It is calming. The recipient of the first one is very lucky! Hope you get some answers soon and find your energy improved.

I have followed your blog for quite some time now. I am sorry to hear about your health issues. I love your “simple” necklace. It truly is delightful. I can see it becoming an everyday favorite. The citrine necklace is lovely as well. I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy wearing it soon.

Simple is elegant – love both of these. I also love Netflix as I deal with health problems. I love to “binge watch” series I haven’t seen in a while.

  18. I really love both of your designs. It was also fun seeing some of your beads! I hope the specialist can give you some good answers so you are on your way to better health!

  19. I absolutely love both your designs. Very creative, very beautiful!

  20. Sue Kelly says:

Beautifully designed and crafted – hope you are feeling better soon.

  21. Hi CeCe, I am sorry to hear of your health issues and I wish you a speedy recovery. Both of your pieces are wonderful. Even though they are simple they have great texture and design.

  22. Kim says:

Simple and elegant, I love both pieces. I wish you speedy healing.

  23. The pieces you made are lovely, sometimes (like in this case) the simple pieces happen to be the prettiest. The focals you used speak for themselves and overdoing them would have taken something away from them.

I do hope to begin to feel better or find a treatment that helps you!

  24. The components you had to work with are fabulous. I think my favorite piece is the hand necklace. Love all of them
