The challenge on this one was sculpting the tiger lily pendants and then connecting it all together. I had a little mishap with the clay malfunctioning, of course there was no designer error š involved. A flower petal broke off when I tired to hammer a metal connection on the end. No worries, spare parts and glue to the rescue. Usually I keep a very flexible design plan when Iām putting together a piece. Iām not one to draw out plans, but tend to design more spontaneously. Hereās the result of my efforts for the Inspired by Nature Tiger Lilies Challenge:
This necklace is made from Fimo polymer clay and an old Coro enameled jewelry piece from myĀ ājunk partsā, oh… I meant vintage parts box. I also used several of my lampwork glass beads and lampwork glass headpins. Then seed beads, copper wire, chain and links. Finished off with some of that great silk sari ribbon from Design Talented One.
Absolute perfection!!!
What a stunning piece! I just love the warm colors, and the componets are so beautiful together. A great conversation piece for sure!
Thank you.
