Serpentine Jade Macrame Necklace

Belated Happy New Year. I haven’t been slacking, just neglecting my blog and art in favor of shoring up, cleaning out, painting and renovating some new digs. Also had to purchase a new camera as the old one just refused to work any longer. I did have a chance to knot up a macrame necklace as a prototype for a custom design I’m working on. I wanted to test out the length. The above macrame necklace features a burnt serpentine jade carved focal bead, many small and medium lampwork glass beads and some tiny seed beads. Oh and lots of knots using Irish waxed linen thread. It’s a long one and the focal ┬ábead rests right about at heart center. Now, back to house painting.
